6 Looks Inspired by Calyxta Girls That You Can Cop with Glossier

Aside from being a source and resource for all things beauty, the heart of Calyxta lies in being able to support such strong, beautiful local personalities and showcasing their stories through our editorial content. From building careers to turning heads, these Calyxta Girls continue to inspire us every day, so much so that we decided to cop some looks with one of our favorite easy-to-use and versatile brands: Glossier! Ready to feel like a cover girl?

KISS ME QUICK WITH KC

This natural look on our latest #CalyxtaGirl, KC Concepcion, is the definition of fresh-faced. Like the star that she is, KC has always had the kind of glow that we all wish we woke up with (and are high-key jealous of), and while we’re all powerless in high-jacking her shine, we can at least try to mimic her smooth, pore-less complexion.

Those that aren’t fans of putting layers of product on will love Glossier’s Priming Moisturizer; it creates a wonderfully smooth surface for the rest of your makeup while ensuring that your skin doesn’t lose its moisture throughout the day. Glossier’s Wowder is another perfect product for creating that freshly Facetune’d blur while making sure your skin looks like skin. Sometimes, packing on powder can give a very, very evident cakey effect; Wowder does well to keep you looking natural sans the oiliness. Pair that with the Generation G lippie in Cake to get KC’s plump and kissable pinkish coral sheen!

TIPSY TURVY WITH JANINE

Hop on the drunk blush trend and cop this gorgeous sun-kissed look by Janine Gutierrez! The famed Glossier Cloud Paints are PERFECT for these looks, as they can go as natural or as pigmented as you like while blending seamlessly into your skin. For Janine’s look in particular, we recommend the Cloud Paint in Beam for that warm fresh-from-the-beach flush! Though this shade is not necessarily an exact match to Janine’s metallic bronze eyeshadow, the Glossier Lidstar in Cub is a beautiful mix of rose gold and copper that gives off a similar luminous pop. Lastly, swipe on some Generation G and build up to the pink shade that you prefer. My favorite thing about this lippie is that it looks gorgeous sheered out and built up, so you can play with how strong you want the pigment to come off as much as you want!

GET GLOWING WITH GABBI

Looking this good should be a crime! In this look, Gabbi Garcia puts the “ooh” in dewy with perfect, glowing skin, twinkling eyes, and glossy lips! While doing the dew in the Philippines can be a hit-or-miss situation depending on the humidity, those looking to try that healthy sheen should go and pick out the Glossier Haloscope ASAP. It’s not quite as in-your-face as powder highlighters, but if the aim is for radiant and fresh like Gabbi, then the Haloscope hits the bullseye for sure. Swipe these on the high points of your face for a moisturized glow that will never look patchy or glittery. Put the Lidstar in Moon atop some red eyeshadow to add a kick of luminescence and swipe on Glossier’s non-sticky clear lip gloss to really bring the whole lustrous look together.

LUSH BROWS WITH LAUREN

Lauren Reid’s feathered brows are those of a sparse sister’s dreams! Cop it yourself with the Boy Brow to add some natural-looking volume and texture to your arches. In this look, Lauren goes super minimal, so a touch of color is all you really need. Tap on some Cloud Paint in Dusk a tiny bit lower than the apples of your cheeks to subtly accentuate your cheekbones with a faux contour and finish off this simple look with your favorite flavor of Glossier’s Balm Dotcom (I personally like Birthday the best) to add moisture to your lips. Extra tip: you can use the Balm Dotcom as a subtle highlighter, too!

IN THE MOOD FOR NUDE WITH JESS

This look on Jess Connelly is the perfect neutral that can take on the transition from day to night effortlessly. For a subtle shimmery lid, the Lidstars are your best bet. For this warm neutral look, you can take the shade Cub all over the lid and add a center highlight using the shade Moon for added dimension. Jess pairs this simple eyeshadow look with thick lashes, so take Glossier’s Lash Slick and build up a few layers at the base first to create volume before taking the wand down to the tips. Finish off the look with glossy puckers courtesy of Glossier’s Lip Gloss and you’re good to go!

SOFT GRUNGE WITH HANNAH

The galaxy of Glossier generally revolves around a pastel pink sun; it typically wouldn’t touch the term “grunge” even with a ten-foot pole, but it’s not impossible! While you probably can’t create a full grunge look, you can at least cop this edgy purple lid matched with slicked back wet hair like Hannah Pangilinan! Top your brows with some Boy Brow to feather it out, then go over your lids with the Lidstar in Fawn. Because the center of her lids seems to reflect a lighter, more baby-blue hue, you can mix in a bit of Lily on the center. Get her luscious lips by topping off a baby pink lippie with Glossier’s Lip Gloss.
