Our 2019 Cover Girls: Iza, Janine, Issa, and KC

The year is almost over, so let’s take a quick look back at our inspiring #CalyxtaGirls for 2019!

A successful actress, singer, and entrepreneur, KC has definitely become a mega star in her own right. Her big name goes along well with her big heart, as she also became an Ambassador of the World Food Programme for Hunger and raised over a million pesos for public schools in Maguindanao. Just last month, she jetted off to Vienna to take in the sights of a new city and finally got to lay eyes on a famous painting, “The Kiss” by Gustav Klimt, that she’s always admired.

Take a quick scroll through KC’s Instagram and more often than not, you’ll catch her pairing an eye-catching lip with brows that are groomed for the gods. For vivid and supple lips that last for hours, swipe on the Heimish Varnish Velvet Lip Tint in the shade “Dry Rose” or “Cherry Tomato Red.” It’s lightweight with a velvety, and not flat, matte, finish that stays put. Then shape, fill in, and brush up those arches with the SUNDAYS BROW STORY. It’s got a waterproof formula and shades curated for modern, Filipina ladies just like KC.

A creative soul, Issa isn’t one to shy away from experimenting with her aesthetic. She pushes boundaries when it comes to style, and that’s one reason why she’s an honorary Calyxta cover girl. Earlier this year, she stated that she’d be moving away from the same entertainment path as her sister, Yassi, and focus more on her art, adding “painter” to her already more than impressive resume that includes being a dancer, vlogger, makeup artist, and model.

If you like to express yourself with color, as does Issa, dyeing your hair is one way of doing it. Since bleach and dye can cause major damage, make sure to give your hair proper TLC. Lather up with the Andin Organics Unwinding Hues shampoo bar that’s made with apple cider vinegar, and no sulfates, to add volume to your locks without stripping the color. Play up your eyes with color using the Rude Fairytale Eyeshadow Palette to brighten up an ordinary FOTD. Sweep on just one color all over, or blend out one color on your lids and line underneath with another for a cool contrast.

As part of two TV shows this year, and being the lead in one of them (Dragon Lady), Janine has been one busy gal. That’s on top of the various brands she works with regularly. Recently, she was named best actress at the QCinema International Film Festival for her performance in Rae Red’s “Babae at Baril.” Currently, she’s working with fellow actor, Paulo Avelino, on their first film project together, “If We Don’t Make It,” playing polar opposite characters.

Make your flawless complexion dreams come true and mimic Janine’s skin by applying the Maybelline Superstay 24HR Full Coverage Foundation with your favorite brush or sponge blender. Lightweight and with a soft finish, it hides practically every blemish and pore and promises a full day of wear. No concealer needed. Add a hint of glow and dewiness after using any of the Sundays Sparklight Series highlighters by dotting it along the tops of your cheek bones, brow bone, cupid’s bow, and lightly down the bridge of your nose and blend away.

Iza isn’t just one of the country’s great beauties and one of the most sought-after actresses. She’s also an advocate for mental health and even spearheaded “The Body Love Revolution” with the She Talks Asia group, to promote self-love and develop a healthy relationship with our bodies. Just last year, she and new husband, Ben Wintle, had their fairytale wedding by the beach in a sunset ceremony in Coron.

Cop Iza’s natural glow by adding a touch of bronze with the Physician’s Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer. It’s beautifully blendable, long-wearing, and even nourishes skin with the infused essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins. Sweep it along your forehead, as close to the hair line as possible, as well as on the hollows of your cheeks and underneath the jaw line for an added contour effect. Set everything after with the Ellana Flower Power Setting Spray, enriched with Rose Fruit Extracts, for an added glow and to keep your makeup looking fresh and fierce.
