Product Review: Banila Co. Clean It Zero

By: Marj Maroket

I have always been on the look out for a good make up remover. I first heard about Banila Co.’s Clean It Zero from a popular beauty guru in YouTube. She raved so much about it, saying that everyone should get one because of how well it does the job of taking all your make up off. Banila Co wasn’t available in the Philippines at the time but I remained curious about it.

Banila Co.’s award-winning cleanser goes on as a solid balm but transforms into an oil once I put it on my face. I start off by scooping a pea-sized amount using the spatula included in the tub followed by massaging the balm all over my face until all my make up dissolves. I then wipe off the oil using round cotton before proceeding to my regular facial wash.

Pros:

  • It’s an all-around make up remover, which means I don’t have to use a lip or eye make up remover anymore.
  • It’s travel-friendly because it’s a solid balm and won’t spill in my bag.
  • You don’t need a lot of product for it to work. A little goes a long way with this one.
  • It removes my waterproof mascara and my long lasting liquid lipsticks.
  • I already love this for its make up removing properties but I didn’t know it contained gentle ingredients like Papaya Fruit Extract, Mineral Oil and Acerora Extract that are very good for the skin!
  • The packaging is not only cute (metallic pink lid – yes please!) but also functional because of the plastic spatula.
  • No over-powering scent

I’ve already consumed my first tub which lasted for almost 2 months. Now, I definitely understand the hype around this product and I don’t think I’ll be using any other make up remover anytime soon. Banila Co. came out with three other variants that cater to different skin dilemmas – Radiance, Reservatol and Purity. They now also have a super size version of the original Clean It Zero so you don’t have to repurchase as much!

You can get Banila Co.’s whole Clean It Zero line on www.calyxta.com!
