Calyxta Cuts: How to get the ART DECO look

From the runway shows of Chanel and Emporio Armani, to Fendi and Oscar de la Renta, we’ve seen the season’s most creative makeup trend: The Art Deco. A bold move to reinvent the classic smoky eye, this trend has been displayed thru designing graphic lines over the lids, playing with the retro colors, and propping colored false lashes. To take a jab on this trend, Calyxta Crew channels an inner Van Gogh, and paints the eyes (particularly) with sheer artistic flair.

  1. With the use of a stippling brush, apply and blend in on your clean and moisturized face the CHACOTT LIQUID FOUNDATION to start a flawless base.

        2. Set your makeup with MAYBELLINE CLEARSMOOTH WHITE SUPER FRESH POWDER. Use the Pop Beauty Essential Brush Trio for an even distribution of the powder all over your face.

        3. Create a sweet daring pout through sweeping over the lips the L.A. COLORS MATTE LIPSTICK.

       4. Have fun in highlighting your eye makeup with a mix of colors and lines. You have the freedom to play with the design, but here the MEDUSA EYESHADOW, WET N WILD COLOR ICON KOHL LINER PENCIL and EGYPTIAN QUEEN DEFINE LIQUID LINER provided the help required to define the shapes and hues.

First, with the MEDUSA EYESHADOW, follow the shape of the eye lids, and color the base with the same shade. Then, use the kohl liner to draw two slanted lines at the corner of the lids. Use the same to line the tip of the eyes. You can also opt to use light tones of Medusa eye shadow to add shine to the eye corners near the nose bridge. Level up the fun by adding red dots at the eye corner with the use of EGYPTIAN QUEEN DEFINE LIQUID LINER. Highlight the under eyes with a light-colored liner.

The key with this look is your fun and creativity, so go ahead and get your imagination working.
