Nothing gives away a woman’s age faster than her hands, neck/chest and knees. We are so used to slapping on the creams and serums on our faces that oftentimes, these key places are neglected and by the time wear and tear start to show, it might be a little too late. Here are tips on how to minimize the signs of aging on each body part:

HANDS

For the day, use a hand cream rich in shea butter and SPF 15. Reapply every time you wash your hands for maximum results. At night, slather on Retin-A before going to bed to smoothen pre-mature wrinkles and blur pigmentation or dark spots.

NECK & CHEST

The lack of oil glands on the neck and chest area can cause dryness and make the area appear “leathery” or aged. For day, a minimum of SPF 30 sunscreen is your best bet in combating dryness and sun damage. At night, a night cream packed with retinoids and peptides work best on sun spots and unevenness of skin tone. Consider getting a microdermabrasion procedure, which uses a device to painlessly exfoliate discoloration and unevenness with fine crystals. You will need several sessions to see optimum results.

KNEES

The best lotion for knees that are wrinkled and sagging are lotions with urea and ammonium lactate. Regular exfoliation with a loofah or scrub also helps to get rid of dead skin that can accumulate on this area. For serious knee wrinkles, there is a procedure called infusion lipolysis, which shrinks fat cells and takes the place of a knee lift. Another safe procedure is Refirme, which brings back firmness and suppleness to the knees.
