Pixi Geltint & Silkgloss Review

If dry, chapped, and pale lips have always haunted you – I feel you, girl! But fear not, fellow dry lippie ladies! You don’t have to sacrifice those pretty puckers anymore with the existence of hydrating lip tints.

Today, we will be swatching the PIXI GELTINT & SILKGLOSS, P690, that comes in three gorgeous shades. It is seriously the answer to this frustrating lip situation. It provides the hydration that our lips direly need without having to sacrifice some pop of color since it gives off a beautiful stained effect. Goodbye dry, chapped, and pale lips!!!

PACKAGING:

This gorgeous double-sided lippie sword is a 2-in-1 tint (left side) and gloss (right side). It’s so compact but at the same time, it’s not SO tiny that it’s going to be a hunt every single time you try to reach for it in your bag.

SWATCHING:

Here’s how it looks when swatched on the skin. It’s sheer but still gives off the right amount of tint, just enough to give your lips that stained effect to fight off looking so pale. The geltint (which appears in bigger rectangle swatch in the photo below) alone is already very hydrating, and it’s actually not as glossy when it dries off. But for those who want the added hydration, you should definitely top it off with the silkgloss!

(1) Beach Tint and Fresh Gloss; (2) Berry Tint and Sweet Gloss;(3) Pink Tint and Pretty Gloss

Let’s see what happens when we swipe it off with some of SIMPLE MICELLAR WATER

Ta-da! The silk gloss disappeared, but the stain definitely did leave some color! For a glossy finish, I’m impressed that it stayed on despite swiping it off with the micellar water a couple of times.

THE VERDICT:

LOVE!!! Especially the gel tint! Plus, it has a subtle peppermint scent to it that is a big yes for me! Since it’s quite on the sheer side, all the available shades suit every type of skin tone. It’s down to how much pop of color you’d like to wear. The most natural/nude shade has to be the Berry Tint and Sweet Gloss combo. For a darker mood, opt for the Beach Tint and Fresh Gloss! But if you’re looking for that pretty pink flush, you definitely have to go for the Pink Tint and Pretty Gloss one.

So, which Gel Tint and Silk Gloss are you going for?
