LUKE Mugwort Nose Cleansing Strip Review

My nose has surely been one of my most frustrating problem areas—mainly because of my stubborn whiteheads. It’s been a lifelong battle so naturally, this makes me drawn to anything that can get rid of my nose nuisances! And when your boss asks who’s game to review the newest nose cleansing strip from Luke Skin, of course I immediately volunteered as tribute even if it means showing off my not-so-good nose goodies for the whole Internet world to see. Hahaha!

I was really excited to try them out! Aside from the cute packaging, you can choose among:

  • Mugwort: has calming benefits on skin after removing sebum and helps to lighten dark spots on nose.
  • Charcoal: strongly absorbs sebum deep inside the pores and has anti-inflammatory, soothing, and calming properties.
  • Lemon Tea Tree: helps eliminate toxin and has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties as well.

Each strip is designed to remove dirt, oil, and other pore-clogging debris from the nose area. It has excellent absorption properties to help remove impurities in nose pores such as excessive sebum and black heads. Plus, it contains Hamamelis Virginiana extract that claims to help tighten pores after removing dirt.

For this review, I decided to try out the Mugwort Nose Cleansing Strip.

Packaging

Each box contains five (5) nose strips that are individually packed and sealed—making it very convenient and easy to store, or even share to your friends (both girls and boys!). Here’s how the actual nose strip looks like upon opening. Just like any nose strip, it’s attached to a plastic liner, which you will then peel off upon use.

How to Use

The strip won’t stick on a dry nose, so you’ll have to thoroughly wet your nose to make sure it adheres well! Peel the strip off the plastic liner and carefully apply to nose area. Make sure to smooth it out and press it down to ensure good contact with skin. The instruction says to wait for it to dry for 10 to 20 minutes, and it’ll start to feel stiff once it’s dry and ready to remove. But since I wanted to be sure (and was desperate to bid these whiteheads goodbye!), I waited for around 30 to 35 minutes until the whole strip dried off and stiff enough for my liking. Once dry, slowly and gently peel it off starting at the edges. Don’t peel it off in just one go!

Results

Voila! Nothing beats the feeling of seeing your freshly peeled nose strip. The Luke Mugwort Nose Cleansing Strip definitely did its job! It felt very gentle yet effective. I love how it didn’t cause any irritation to my nose!

What I love:

  • It was very quick and easy to use! No-mess pore strips.
  • Effectively removed and reduced the appearance of whiteheads on my nose.
  • I like the packaging. Plus, I appreciated how the benefits and instructions were completely indicated at the back. I was very informed of what to expect.
  • It was very gentle on my skin. I felt at ease using the nose strips for the first time since it looked clean and sterilized.
  • Very affordable! For only P190 per box of five nose strips!

What I think could be improved on:

  • It would’ve been nice to see a bit of my blackheads on the strip as well!
  • In my experience, I think it would’ve helped to prep my skin better before putting on the strip. It’s recommended to use steam to help open the pores better! This makes the pore-clogging debris easier to extract since it will help the pores loosen their grip on these.

Get yourself and your friends a box of the LUKE MUGWORT NOSE CLEANSING STRIP, P190, to try out at your next slumber party!
