Which Lipstick to Pair with Your Favorite Glossier Cloud Paint?

As a fan of all things Glossier, and as someone who has hoarded almost all their Cloud Paint shades, their products have become the ultimate staples in my makeup kit—so much so that I’ve evolved from wearing a full face of makeup during events, to narrowing down my look to just three products: their Boy Brow in Brown, my choice of Cloud Paint (depending on my mood for the day), and a lipstick to complete the ensemble.

Below are all six Glossier Cloud Paints, and a lipstick shade I’d surely pair it with!

Storm is the kind of warm rose shade that I love to wear whenever I want to look like I had a little bit of wine. It’s also the perfect shade to use on my lids for subtle definition. Depending on my mood or where I’m headed, I build up the color on both my lids and cheeks! I like to pair Storm with a mauve nude similar to Maybelline’s SuperStay Matte Ink Un-Nude in Seductress, or a soft terra cotta like Dear Dahlia’s Lip Paradise Intense Satin in Adele.

Considering that Beam, a soft and subtle peach color, is the most used shade out of all the Cloud Paints I have (based on the amount left in the tube), I guess you could say this is my favorite shade. It delivers a healthy, sun-kissed glow that gives the impression that I just came from the beach!

Aside from applying this shade on my cheeks, I also dab a little bit on the bridge of my nose. I normally wear this with a similar soft peach lippie—like the Heimish Varnish Velvet Lip Tint in Peach Coral or Chihuahua Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Cinnamon.

Haze was the very first shade I bought and was my daily blush—until I decided to purchase the rest! The deep berry hue complements my fair and warm-toned skin, though it looks amazing on cool tones and morenas, too. An equally refreshing pop of pink on the lips, like L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Petal Potion, is one way to go about with this shade. If you want to go monochromatic, then opt for Pink Sugar’s Sugartint in Purrfect Pout!

Dawn is described as a sunny coral shade, though on me, it looks a lot more intense—which is why I love using it when I’m feeling bolder and more experimental with my makeup looks. I can even pair it with an equally fun eye shadow palette like Paprika’s Matte and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette!

Meanwhile, for the lips, I would finish the look with the perfect red lippie—like L’Oreal’s Rouge Signature Matte Liquid Lipstick in I Am Worth It.

Puff is one shade I have yet to try, but because it’s a light, cool pink, I’m not sure if it will complement my warm skin tone. However, based on photos I’ve seen on Instagram, it looks like a pretty color to wear with Maybelline’s SuperStay Matte Ink in Lover! If you want a super effortless yet still chic look, you can just pair it with a clear gloss like Glossier’s Lip Gloss.

Another shade I have yet to try is Dusk, a brownish nude that some like to use as a subtle contour! But if you want to pull off an 80s-inspired look, pair it with a brown lippie—like the Maybelline Color Sensational Powder Matte in Raw Cocoa or Painted Cosmetics Velvet Matte Lipstick in Toasted!
