School Friendly Makeup Looks

Keep it fresh and subtle
School makeup is best done quickly. You don’t want to be late for class, especially after a late night of studying. The last thing you want to do is to wake up extra early just to put on a pile of heavy makeup, so keeping it fresh and subtle is the way to go.

1. Apply a light weight foundation or BB cream
Avoid applying a heavy type of foundation to school. Just use foundation that will conceal your blemishes and even out your skin tone.

2. Conceal your eye bags
Did you spend the whole night studying for an exam or working on your thesis? Concealer will be your best friend. Pick one that is two shades lighter than your skin tone for concealing dark circles. If you believe that you already resemble a zombie (save that look for Halloween), you can also use a peach-toned color correcting concealer underneath your regular concealer to cancel out your dark circles.

3. Fill in your brows
Just fill in the sparse areas of your brows. Remember, brows frame your face. I recommend the Colourpop brow pencil. It is thin and precise so it is perfect to recreate little hairs on sparse brows. It is dual ended, with a brush tip to blend the product well. It is only P410—very budget friendly!

4. Apply blush
Apply a pink toned blush to give your face a healthy glow.

5. Curl eye lashes
No time to apply eyeliner and eyeshadow? Just curl your lashes to look less tired. This opens up your eyes.

6. Apply powder
Remember to set your makeup with powder. This will make your makeup last all day. I recommend the RCMA No Color Powder. It provides a flawless finish that will never make you look cakey because it is so finely milled. It is great for setting foundation and concealer without flashbacks and without altering the color of your makeup base.

7. Apply lip balm
Last but not least, apply lip balm to moisturize your lips.

Here are some ways to easily inject some fun to a simple school-friendly look:

Pop of Color
During stress free school days, why not add a pop of color by using colored eye liner on your peepers. School makeup can be fun too!

Lip Statement
Another fun way to amp up your school makeup is to apply a long wearing lipstick in your favorite color. I like using ultra matte liquid lipsticks because it lasts the whole day (exfoliate lips before applying liquid lipsticks for best results) so I don’t need to think about constantly touching up my lips. A hint of lip balm midday will suffice, just to freshen up the lips.
