The best thing about nails is that they’re your own brand of accessory. Read on for ways to jazz up your nails, there’s something for everybody!

1. Stick on / Press on Nails

Thumbs up: Portability, best for quick/changes, keeping up with trends and if you are an adventurous fashionista or chameleon. Chock full of patterns to choose from, no drying time requirement.

Thumbs down: Needs improvement on longevity or long-wearability. Lasts for approximately 10 days if you are careful with them. Not as sturdy as other nail art counterparts, might come off when doing simple chores.

2. Acrylic Nails

Thumbs up: Lasts a long time and best for the jet-setting type who needs impeccable looking power nails.

Thumbs down: Do not offer much flexibility and are often hard. Must be done by an expert nail technician. Not for those who are in a hurry, you need to set aside time and proper visit to the nail salon.

3. 3D nail art

Thumbs up: For the ultimate girly-girl who wants to unleash the diva in them. Great for that special occassion or red carpet event. The varieties of designs are dizzying to choose from. From clever to cute to downright original.

Thumbs down: Spell ‘High Maintenance.’ Pass up on this one if you use your hands for work. Quite a physical challenge to do simple tasks like pulling put a drawer.

4. Gel Nails

Thumbs up: Quick-drying and easy to do at home. Durable, long-lasting, cost efficient.

Thumbs down: long term side effects include nail brittleness, peeling and cracking.

5. French Nails

Thumbs up: Big on simplicity, timeless and classic. This is for the uptown girl who likes it simple. Won’t cause any damage to the nails.

Thumbs down: Sometimes simple also means boring.
