1. For a glamorous event, you want makeup that won’t slide around or fade as the night marches on. So apply a glow primer like GLOSSIER PRIMING MOISTURIZER, P1,800, on cleansed and moisturized skin before makeup.

4. Line eyes heavily with black eye pencil. Try MALISSA KISS SUPER BLACK ULTRA HD EYELINER, P349. With a fine brush, you can draw a precise line but the gel can be smudged (check Karen’s lower lash line) for a softer look.
5. Curl lashes then apply MAYBELLINE LASH SENSATIONAL BIG EYES BLOOM MASCARA, P429, for—as the product says it—sensational big eyes! Add false lashes for a truly bold gaze.
6. Older women might want to try to go light with their brows. Jigs first defined Karen’s brows with a brown pencil then used blonde brow mascara, which not only lightened her brows but also softened her face. Try PIXI BROW BRIGHTENER GOLDEN GLAZE, P675.
7. Apply a warm peach blush on the apples of your cheeks for a pretty glow. We like the MILAN shade from GIRLACTIK BLUSH, P1,140.
9. Apply lipstick in a bold shade, like CHARLOTTE TILBURY MATTE REVOLUTION in LOVE LIBERTY, P2,200, which Jigs used on Karen. But here’s a tip from Jigs if you’re shy to sport attention-grabbing lips: To mute a bold hue, apply it with a fluffy brush.
11. A bold dress needs a simple hairstyle and what can be simpler than a ponytail? First, add volume to hair by spraying dry shampoo (we like TONI&GUY DRY SHAMPOO GLAMOUR VOLUME, P1,099) on roots. Blow dry for more body then gather hair at the nape and secure with a black hair tie. Go for a loose ponytail so you won’t look severe, but spray TONI&GUY HAIR STYLING GLAMOUR MOISTURIZING SPRAY, P750, all over so locks won’t get messy.
