Laura Lehmann: Vampy in Violet

Breaking away from her usual dolled-up looks, Laura Lehmann gets all vampy in violet for this week’s look. Don’t be afraid to play it up and dare to explore new, exciting makeup looks you’ve never tried before!

It might look intimidating, but this is actually a very simple and easy makeup look to do! Follow these steps to learn the basics, and feel free to tweak it to make it your own:

1) As with any makeup look, start by priming your face to create a smooth and seamless makeup base. Try THE ORDINARY HIGH-SPREADABILITY FLUID PRIMER, P750, for a lightweight primer with a silky, serum-like texture that gives off a naturally dewy look.

2) For a natural coverage foundation, try the MAYBELLINE FIT ME STICK FOUNDATION, P399, for an oil-absorbing foundation stick that blends into a natural matte finish. Plus, it’s very quick and easy to apply! You can simply use your fingers to blend it out.

3) Set your foundation in with the PIXI COLOUR CORRECTING POWDER FOUNDATION, P995, that color corrects while giving a matte, flawless look in just a few sweeps.

4) After you’ve worked on your base, you can head straight into working on this stunning, inverted eye look. Instead of applying eyeshadow on your eyelids, keep that area untouched. With the L’OREAL PARIS LA PALETTE OMBREE, P800, apply the purple shade directly under your eyes with a light hand and blend well. Make sure not to overdo this step! Just enough to create that playful shadow.

5) After curling your lashes, apply a layer or two of the MAYBELLINE VOLUME EXPRESS HYPERCURL, P199, for that natural-looking curl and volume!

6) Fill in your brows with the L’OREAL PARIS BROW ARTIST DESIGNER, P500, to achieve brows on point in three simple steps: shape, shade, and style!

7) Complete the look with MAYBELLINE SUPERSTAY MATTE INK LIQUID LIPSTICK in VOYAGER, P299, for a super long-lasting lippie that stays on for up to 16 hours of wear!
