Jasmine Curtis-Smith: Sweet Nothings

September #CalyxtaGirl, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, is looking like she can whisper sweet nothings to your ear and sweep you off your feet with one glance. In this makeup look, Jasmine channels a mature use of pink. Instead of the usual bubblegum pop, the color here brings in a good amount of sweetness but also a flash of heat to the face. Although the color pink is repeated throughout the look, it’s not oversaturated. Using a single color, each a shade close to one another, and that complements the skin well, actually helps make the overall makeup look even more put together.

Get ready to drink in this popping pink makeup look through our steps below!

1. Aim for a clear but dewy foundation as a base to make the bright hue pop! Spread Face Republic Perfect Cover BB Cream with either a sponge or a brush all over your face. If you have natural freckles, don’t be afraid to let them shine!

3. Add a bright splash of pink to your cheeks by using Pixi by Petra Multibalm in Watermelon Veil. Try applying the balm directly to your cheeks and blend it out with your fingertips or a sponge. Continue building it up for a brighter look!

4. Complement the bright pink hues with a glittery effect by using NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick in Chardonnay Shimmer over the high points of your face. Dab it on your cheekbones, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow, and brow bone.

5. For a fuller brow look, fill in the brows with a brown shade from the Pink Sugar Honey I’m Good Brow Kit. Start at the base of the brows and draw natural strokes through it to easily shape and sculpt.

6. To start off the eyelook, swipe on NYX Lid Lingerie in Whimsy all over the eyes and up to the creaseline as a base. Take your Paprika Matte and Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette and select the Pink Orange Matte shade. Blend and buff it over the eyeshadow base. To add the glossy effect to the eyes, take a mix of the two shades from the Pixi By Petra Glowy Gossamer Duo – Subtle Sunrise and lightly pat over the pink eyeshadow for a glossy look.

7. Draw a thin line with the Missha The Style Sharp Eyeliner over the lashline to make the eyes pop even more!

9. Use your Pixi by Petra Multibalm in Watermelon Veil again and swipe a good amount over your lips to complete the entire look.
