Cat eye eyeliner may have a street style edge, but this makeup classic also deserves its place in the bridal word, especially with its flattering shape that elongates and accentuates any eye shape. Whether you decide to go with the classic black eyeliner flick or decide to play around with colors and using eyeshadow instead of eyeliner, here are tips to help you get that perfect cat eye.
Step 1: Create a perfect canvas for your dramatic eyeliner by applying eyeshadow primer all over the eyelid. Dust on a matte nude eyeshadow to make eyes pop during the day, and shimmery one for extra oomph at night.
Step 2: Starting at the outer corner of your eye, trace a thin line on the entire lash line with a liquid eyeliner.
Step 3: From the center of your lash line, create a small V at the outer edge of the lash line.
Step 4: Starting at the inside corner of the eye, draw a straight line until it connects with the outer V.
Step 5: Fill in the spaces with liner.
Step 6: Apply three coats of mascara for the finishing touch.
Tip: Have damp pointy q-tips handy in case you need to clean up, especially when using a liquid eyeliner. Don’t wait for liquid eyeliner to dry before correcting a mistake or else it will be harder to clean up later on.
