Two Go-To Eyeshadow Looks for Everyone

By: Amanda Padilla

There are a few tricks that every girl needs to have in their make up bag. Among them are how to put on the perfect red lip, liquid liner and cheekbone contouring. It is also really helpful to have two go-to eyeshadow looks that bring focus to your eyes. These two looks can take you from any situation – be it work or play or from day to night.

Neutral Glam

Prep the eyelid with a thin layer of concealer. If you have oily lids, use a primer like Urban Decay Primer Potion.

Apply a wash of a shimmery sand colored eyeshadow all over the eyelid.

Define the crease with a matte, taupe colored shadow. Using a small flat brush, start at the outer corner of the eye and work your way up to the mid-crease. Blend well.

Using your fingers, add a dot of shimmery white eyeshadow

Use a black liquid eyeliner. Keep the line as close to the lashes as possible.

Curl the lashes and use a double coat of mascara.

Smudge a shimmery bronze eyeliner along the lower lash line using a small, angled brush.

Soft Smokey

Prep the eyelid with primer.

Use a black kohl eyeliner along the lash line. Make sure to use the liner between the lashes rather than on top of the lashes. This helps your lashes look thicker.

Set the liner by applying the smallest amount of black eyeshadow on top of it. Smudge it out using a small, flat brush.

Use a cork colored eyeshadow from the lash line all the way up to the crease. Blend it out.

Highlight the browbone by using a bone colored eyeshadow under the eyebrow.

Curl your lashes and add a few coats of volumizing, legthening mascara.

Finish off the look by applying budge proof Eye of Horus eyeliner along the waterline of your eye.
