Signature Makeup Looks of Top Celebrity Makeup Artists

Having worked with top celebrity makeup artists for our different cover girl shoots, we list down their signature looks, and what products you can use to achieve them!

Glowy-looking skin and full, natural brows is a major part of Jigs’ beauty portfolio. It can also be a part of your FOTD without the need for a professional. When setting makeup, only use the lightest amount of powder then follow it up with a setting spray, especially one that promises a dewy finish like the Hello Gorgeous Make Up Setting Spray or the Ellana Stay Fresh Setting Spray. Raise the glow by highlighting high points of your face, such as the tops of your cheekbones and bridge of your nose using a buildable highlighter like Maybelline’s Face Studio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter  in “Rose Gold.” Finally, brush brows upwards and outwards with the Pink Sugar Honey I’m Good Brow Gel  to fill in sparse areas and build brow volume.

It’s safe to say Anthea loves pairing a bold lip with flushes of cheek color. And who doesn’t? Working out which blush works best with your lipstick is half the fun of getting ready. For subtle, day looks—try to match soft and light cheek colors with a pink-ish or nude lip, like the Chihuahua Cosmetics Blush in “Apple Crisp” with the L’Oreal Paris Colour Le Rouge Matte Lipstick in “Fairy Touch.” To get more of Anthea’s signature style though, swipe on eye-catching lippies like the Maybelline Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds in “Midnight Date” or “Smoking Red.” Pair it with a blush that’s a visual treat as well, like the Maybelline Master Creator Stick in “Cherry Bomb.” Start off with a light layer and build it up as you go.

No one does a seamless smokey eye like Mickey, but with the right products you can too. Years of experience not needed. Eliminate too much guesswork over what colors work best together by using an already coordinated eyeshadow quad like the Rimmel London Glam Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in “Smokey Purple.” For the easiest smokey eye, work with 3 colors tops. Sweep the medium shade all over your lids using a clean ring finger or shadow brush. Apply the darkest shade on the outer corner of your eyes and blend outwards, eliminating any harsh edges until they appear as soft as smoke. Using a clean, shadow brush, blend softly where both colors meet on your lids to create a gradient. Finally, highlight the inner corner of your eyes and your brow bone with the lightest shade. Finish off with a waterproof, volumizing mascara like the Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara.

Jake loves to let his clients’ natural beauty shine through and is a master of the “barely there” makeup look. Mimic that mastery with lightweight products that offer just the right amount of whatever you need. Achieve a natural-looking base for faux flawless skin using a BB or CC cream like the Rivecowe Moisture BB or Banila Co. It Radiant CC Cream. Both give a light coverage that helps minimize pores and even out your skin tone. Then lightly dot Painted Cosmetics Cloud Crème Paint in “Sunset” onto your cheeks and blend well with your fingers or a brush for a hint of color. Finally, top off everything with a few swipes of the Detail MakeOver Liptint Balm in “Rose,” for lightly tinted lips, and brush through brows with the La Localita Better Brows Brow Gel.
