Palette Party: 8 Eye Shadow Palettes Under P800

It’s a palette party here at Calyxta, so be sure to check out these eight eye shadow palettes all under P800!

Nice n’ Neutral

If you want to aim high with a smokey eye, but still keep things low key, try a subtle smokey look with neutral colors from the Rimmel London Glam’eyes Quad in “Smokey Brown”. Sweep the left shade all over lids as your base, then define your eyes by applying the top shade in both the crease and outer corner. Blend both colors where they meet until all harsh lines are softened. Finally, highlight the center of your lids and the inner corners with the bottom or left shade.

Terrifically Two-Toned

Play around with color and mix and match your eyeshadow. Go for colors that compliment one another or throw all rules out the window. For a unique, fun #EOTD, pick up the ashy blue shade from the Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette in “Rainbow Edition” with a fluffy, shadow brush and apply all over your lids. Soften all edges by blending with a clean brush. Next, and with a smaller, shadow brush, run the mauve shade underneath eyes and the bottom lash line. Blend edges again with a clean brush. Line your eyes with pencil or liquid liner if you wish.

Lil’ Miss Sunshine

Brighten up a gloomy day with this eye-catching look. Using a clean, ring finger or an eyeshadow brush, apply the sunny yellow shade from the Magnif’Eyes Eyeshadow Palette in “Thunderstorm Edition” all over your lids and extend outwards a little. With a clean brush, blend away and soften any harsh lines or edges. Run the same shade under the eyes and bottom waterline. To keep your shadow from looking flat, create a cut crease by applying the silver shade into just the crease with an eyeliner/brow brush or a precise eyeshadow brush. Don’t be afraid to define eyes further with a classic cat-eye using liquid eyeliner.

Loud and Proud

Color blocking isn’t just for the runway. Try it out for yourself to create a bold look using shades from the Sleek I-Divine Ultra Mattes V1 Brights Palette. With a small and precise shadow brush, apply the purple in a small, vertical rectangle shape starting at the outer corner of the eye. Repeat with pink, orange, yellow, then purple again until you reach the inner corner of your eye. Blend where any colors meet only slightly and with a very light hand to keep the blocking effect. Finish with eyeliner or opt out of using one.

Electric Feel Blue

Work with a ‘cool’ color that compliments practically every skin tone using the Pink Sugar Eye Candy Eyeshadow Palette in “Eye Candy 1”. Sweep the light teal shade all over your lids with your ring finger or an eyeshadow brush, then define eyes by concentrating the dark teal shade on just the outer corners. With a clean brush, blend both colors together into a seamless gradient. Leave as is or apply a mix of the dark teal and grey shade to line underneath the eyes. Soften any harsh lines.

Pink About It

Get creative with your eyeshadow by using it as eyeliner instead. Prep eyes well with an eye primer and dampen a thin, angled liner/brow brush with a spritz or two of water. A damp brush intensifies eyeshadow colors. Pick up the mauve-pink from the Maybelline The Blushed Nudes palette and create a classic cat eye with an extended wing. Run the same color starting from the inner corner of your eye and along your crease, then connect both lines together. Feel free to make the lines drawn as thin or as thick as you want.

Flirty Shades of Gray

Tread the line between subtle and bold by opting to play with gray. Apply the medium gray shadow from Wet N Wild Color Icon Eye Shadow Palette in “Tunnel Vision” all over your lids. Extend it slightly upwards towards the brow bone and outwards from the outer corner. Then highlight just the inner corners with the off-white shade with a precise, shadow brush. Finally, define eyes by using an angled liner brush and lining them with the darkest grey shade and creating a wing.

Bronzed Beauty

Whether you’re heading to the office or a night out, cop a copper inspired look with the Detail MakeOver Ecru Eyeshadow Palette on hand. Using the shade “Suntan” as your base, sweep or pat all over lids and just above, then soften edges with a clean brush. Pick up “Macadamia” next and apply to just the center of your lids and blend out all its edges to create a soft gradient with your base. Finally, line eyes with a liquid eyeliner starting from the outer half of your lid, or use a precise, angled liner brush with the shade “Pecan.”
