STEP 1
Filled in Amina’s eyebrows with an eyebrow liner then brushed them up with a tinted eyebrow gel. For a 50s touch, the preferred brow shape is squarish and masculine. A sweep of bold liner on the eyelid into a blunt cat eye. Pumped up lower lashes replaces eyeliner for a more doe-eyed effect.
STEP 2
Sweep an earthy brown eyeshadow on the crease of the eyelid to bring out the contour. Add a strip of false eyelashes to open up the eye are for the ultimate wide-eyed 50s movie star effect.
STEP 3
To create the perfect pout I took cue from the way my grandmother used to put lipstick on, with the mouth open. Make a letter O with your mouth and apply lipstick straight from the tube starting in the center going outwards. Dont forget the inner corners of the lips. Applying lipstick in an ‘O’ shape creates the perfect 50s movie star pout.
STEP 4
To bring this look forward to present times, a sweep of contour in the hollows of the cheeks using a matte brown powder. Finish with slightly flushed cheeks in marsala.
