1. Drastic change of lippie
I always insist that a change of lip color is the quickest way to update anyone’s look, holiday or not. You may apply this to the changing seasons as well. As a general guide this is how lip colors change from season to season: fruity colors for warmer months and jewel tones or earth tones for cooler months. Since the “Holidaze” falls under cooler months, I suggest a bold and rich lip color for your puckers. Along the shades of ox blood, deep red wine, garnet or marsala.
2. Winged / Bold Cat eye
Unleash your inner Adele, Audrey Hepburn, Twiggy. Nothing spells sex kitten faster than a bold sweep of the blackest liquid eyeliner that extends farther than the eyeliner. Pair this up with number 1 for the ultimate holiday DIY makeover.
3. Amped up Lashes
I can’t stress enough how obsessed I am with lashes. Blame it on my fascination with all things 60s Mod like Twiggy, Penelope Tree and Edie Sedgwick. A quick holiday make up to update the peepers? Layers of mascara top and bottom. Try out a fiber mascara if you can.
4. Colored eyeliner
Take my number 2 tip but with a pop of color. Try cobalt blue, emerald green, deep purple and if you’re really adventurous: magenta. Festive times call for festive colors. Dont hold back.
5. Sparkle
Get your glow on. Spray on shimmers where skin is exposed: shoulders, legs, decolettage & eyelids. What about shimmer for the hair? Yes!
