How to Glam Up Your Nails for the Holiday

By: Cat Juan-Ledesma

This Christmas, why not have some fun and play around with your nails to bring a little festive cheer to your look? Opt for warm, rich colors like marsala, forest green, or deep grays. If you’d like to have fun with nail art patterns, here are some cute ideas:

Candy Cane: Grab a classic red and opaque white and have them painted in diagonal stripes on your fingernails to make your fingers look like that favorite minty Christmas treat.

Snowflake: Start with a neutral base like gray, brown, or blue then paint big white snowflake patterns throughout your nails.

Gift-wrapping: Start with a semi-bright base and draw a little gift ribbon on one of your fingernails on each hand for a little fun.

Fairy dust: Start with a dark base like mauve or forest green then place gold sparkly polish around the tips of your nails in a random pattern to give the impression that you’ve dipped your hands in fairy dust.

Santa’s hat: Give the impression of Santa’s hat by starting with a matte red in a Santa friendly shade. Place white French tips with some fur embellishments to complete the look.

Snowmen: Another cute option is to start with a white base than paint two little black eyes, an orange carrot for the nose, and a dotted mouth for a snowman on a finger nail on each hand.
