Fringe for Different Face Shapes

By: Alyanna Martinez

With the coming of every new season, comes the wave for wanting a change. Whether it is your wardrobe, make up look, hair color or hairstyle, the easiest and most affordable way to make a drastic change to your look for a new season is with a fresh new modern color and/or cut. Love the length of your hair and not brave enough to chop it all of for a modern bob? My personal go-to for the most drastic and quick change is to get a fringe. Whether it be soft and layered, side swept or full, bangs help shape the face and give you a whole new interesting look without having to spend a fortune. All you need to know is which fringe style will best suit your face shape.

Round – for the more round-shape faced women, a blunt heavy fringe will be too overpowering for this face shape. Instead, opt for a side swept style or softer, piercer blunt cut.

Square – a full fringe can overwhelm squarish face shape; instead ask for a fringe that finishes slightly below your brows to balance it out.

Heart – a full yet piece-y fringe best balances out heart shaped faces.

Oval – those blessed with an oval face shape are very lucky because whatever floats their boat suits their face shape.

Small forehead – gives the illusion of a broader forehead with full, heavy and blunt bangs.

Wide forehead – Heavy side swept bangs give length and fullness of the bangs that help conceal a large and wide forehead.
