Jour a Nuit: Wine and Fragrance Pairing with Soleil et Lune

Soleil et Lune and Calyxta recently collaborated to put together an intimate event of pairing wines and fragrances with bloggers and friends from the media—to showcase the selection of signature scents inspired by the uniqueness of the Filipina woman.

The affair took place in Calyxta’s HQ in Makati, which was magically transformed into a Parisian-inspired space—complete with beautiful white panels to take OOTD photos, a flatlay and tester area to take a whiff of all the scents, and a sophisticated table setting with placemates that explained why each scent was paired with a particular choice of wine (Soleil et Lune’s co-founder, Pierre Addison, happens to be a sommelier!). Of course, the afternoon wasn’t complete without delicious cured meats and cheeses to balance out the wines, pretty much like how coffee beans were available to clear the nose in between scents.

Soleil et Lune, which is actually French for Sun and Moon, offers six different fragrances that you can wear from day to night. Each one is crafted with the finest oils and essences from Grasse, France, and embodies every woman’s unique personality and mood—whether you’re a Brigitte (burst of fruity essence for the woman who uplifts like sunshine wherever she goes), an Audrey (a scent of spring blooms for the classic and confident woman), or a Simone (fresh citrus with a hint of musk for the strong-willed woman working in a corporate world).

Their tagline, “Everyday Luxury,” also reflects the philosophies of founders, Elizabeth Supetran, Pierre Addison, and Kristine Villanueva, who wanted to provide a homegrown brand that was made with high quality ingredients and caters to a practical Filipina who wants something that can take her from day to night, and something luxurious that uplifts her everyday.

Soleil et Lune is now available on www.calyxta.com for P380 (10ml), and P1,180 (50ml).
