Hair Care Staples of Cat Juan Ledesma

It’s a sad fact that I have the finest hair. As a child, my grandmother used to stroke my hair and say it felt like silk. While this may be good for shine, I have always had issues keeping hair looking like it’s full of body. The average blowout goes flat on me in two hours or less. Here are some hair products I have found to help make life with fine, flat hair a little easier. You might also want to check out Frances’ article on how to maintain volume for fine and flat hair!

This is a coconut oil-based, water-wicking shampoo that cuts blow dry time for faster styling. For my oily, fine hair, I’ve learned that the more clarifying and less creamy the shampoo is, the better. I need lots of suds to help remove oil and make hair lighter and fluffier. What I also love about this shampoo is that it helps make my hair dry faster.

Since I color my hair regularly, I also like using conditioner that will keep my color vibrant longer. I do like Dove’s Hair Therapy Conditioner Color Care because it contains Vibrant Colour Lock technology and a UV filter that nourishes hair and keeps color vibrant for up to 8 weeks. I use very little and only apply from mid-hair down. I also use cold water to rinse and lock in the shine.

I never quite understood dry shampoo until I began to see it as a way to continue to boost volume throughout the day. I love Dove’s dry shampoo because it absorbs oil between traditional washes, so hair looks and feels refreshed without a super strong fragrance!
