The Dress of Their Dreams: Real Women Dish on Their Dream Wedding Dresses

A wedding dress is arguably one of the most iconic and momentous outfits a girl will ever wear in her lifetime. Blame it on all the rom-coms we’ve seen in our youth, or on watching the live telecasts of Princess Diana and Princess Kate’s royal weddings—but most girls have overtly or secretly daydreamed of their perfect wedding dress for when that big day finally comes. Heck—some have even had that image embedded in their minds prior to finding the appropriate partner to wed. Read on as some fabulous ladies dish on their dream wedding dresses and the looks they’d like for that very special day, whether it is happening soon or someday.

1. Camille Laurente, Lawyer-Turned-Podcaster

Describe your dream wedding dress.

“As much as I’d love to wear a Marchesa on my big day, I’d already be over the moon if I wore one of Alexandra Grecco’s romantic wedding dresses. If I only had one word to describe how I want to look on my wedding day, it’ll be ethereal. I don’t want jewels, beads or anything poofy! I’m going after a dress that’s not over the top, just one that looks delicate and whimsical.”

What makeup look would go best with your dream wedding dress?

“Unfortunately, I’m quite clueless when it comes to make-up. I suppose something that’s not too heavy and without any dark tones will go well with my dress. I think maybe peach and sun-kissed—with the right amount of highlight.”

Who is your celebrity bride peg?

“Olivia Palermo, hands down! She’s just my peg for everything. Her bridal look might not be the one I’m going for but I just like how effortless and gorgeous she looked on her wedding day.”

2. Inna Buenviaje, Entrepreneur and Design Student

Describe your dream wedding dress.

“I’m best described as a modern romantic, so I dream of a dress that has a tailored and classic silhouette but is adorned with strategic drapery then accented with mixed fabric that balances weight, flounce, and flow. I’d also go for something off-white and with less lace. It’s a little more adventurous than the typical wedding gown but just as dreamy.”

What makeup look would go best with your dream wedding dress?

“For the bridal make up, I feel like to soften the overall look that comes with wearing a dress with a structured style and contemporary cut that tends to look stiff, I’d go for a more natural and muted look. Subtly contoured skin but a radiant and polished finish. Soft smokey brown eyes and full but not overly done lush lashes. Then just the right shade of blush to look ‘flushed’ and a nude color on the lips.”

Who is your celebrity bride peg?

“It’s a mix of Audrey Hepburn, Olivia Palermo, and Lady Charlotte Wellesley.”

3. Andi Trinidad, Owner of Narrative Coffee

What makeup look would go best with your dream wedding dress?

“I’ve always wanted a ‘no makeup’ makeup look, and that means good skin care is a must. Must be dewy, fresh, and highlighting my cheekbones and eyebrows.”

Who is your celebrity bride peg?

“My celebrity bride pegs would be Princess Diana, Jackie O, Carolyn Besette, and Kate Moss.”

Describe your dream wedding dress.

“My dream wedding dress is a combination of classic, regal, and ethereal, primarily because my personality is that way. Imagine Jackie O and Kate Moss combined.”

4. Cesca Demaisip, Teacher

What makeup look would go best with your dream wedding dress? “Makeup would be natural and earthy—very simple because I don’t look nice with too much make up. Simple is the way to go. Less is more.” Who is your celebrity bride peg? “I guess Ivanka or Kate Middleton would be my celebrity bride pegs.
Describe your dream wedding dress. “Classic. Lace. Conservative.”

5. Nikki Mendez, Lawyer

What makeup look would go best with your dream wedding dress?

“The best no-makeup look that will highlight my best features and hide all my facial flaws. Haha!”

Who is your celebrity bride peg?

“Celebrity peg? Hmm—Anne Curtis!”

Describe your dream wedding dress. “I want it sleek, structured, and elegant but also detailed.”
