When it comes to lipsticks I prefer matte and semi matte textures. Anything that looks and feels sticky is just icky. Matte and semi matte lipsticks look more timeless, plus it stays on longer. 1. Pay off – refers to how well the color shows up on the skin. Atlantic City is a bright blood red that closely resembles the color of a red Ferrari. The color remained the same on my lips as it was in the tube. What you see is what you get.
2. Texture – Ofra glides on smoothly and rich. So be light-handed on the first application. It doesn’t dry out the lips like most matte lipsticks do.
3. Longwearability – it stayed on pretty much all day. I counted at least 6 hours, which is great! Because I can’t be bothered retouching my own makeup when I am busy doing faces. I also don’t eat my lipstick. So if you are one of those women who lick their lips often or eat their lipstick then you might have to retouch once or twice if you intend to wear this all day.
My pro tips on how to Use Ofra Atlantic City:
1. Exfoliate your lips and moisturize with lip balm before you start doing your makeup. Matte lipsticks look best on lips that arent dry, wrinkled or have visible lines.
2. Make sure to blot all lip balm prior to applying Ofra. You want a clean slate when you start. Lip balm might interfere with the consistency and texture of the product.
3. Apply a thin layer at first, you can build up to the intensity you want later on. Blot w a tissue then reapply again. If you have a hard time staying in the lip lines, have a damp q-tip ready to trace and erase mistakes. Blot again.
4. Ofra’s lipstick is highly pigmented. So on the second or third application, you will be happy with what you see. Just make sure to blot in between applications to set the product and remove any excess on the lips.
5. Certain reds may make the teeth look yellow. So if you have stained pearly whites then perhaps you can pass up on this color. Ofra makes fabulous colors you can choose from.
