Product Review: L’Oreal Artist Brow Chisel Straight

By: Amanda Padilla

Ladies, its time we had a talk. I know the consensus is that if you had to walk out the door and just fix one feature of your face it should be your brows. Brows frame your face, they say. And its true. But honestly, ladies, the brow scene has gotten way out of hand and you just need to look at instagram for proof. Brows draw up to perfection only succeed in looking fake.

The time has come for us to put down creamy brow pencils and opt for something that isnt so heavy-handed. Here’s another word of advice- if you’ve been using a black eyebrow pencil, please toss it. That looks good on no one. Start by grow your brows out. When they are more or less back to their original shape and bushiness make an appointment to have your brows groomed. Make it a standing appointment, on the same day of each month. After 3-4 month your brows will look immaculate. Because your brow will be looking pristine, you wont need to use as much product. Maybe a brow gel to keep the hair in place or a little swipe of color to fill in the spots that are sparse.

L’Oreal Artist Brow Chisel Straight does just the trick. Using this product is a no-brainer, so simple that even a makeup novice will feel like Pat McGrath. Brow Chisel Straight comes in two ash brown shades that look great on any complexion, picking a color just depends on what look you’re going for. Its wand has two parts- the spoolie (looks like a mascara wand) for the hair and a sharp tip for the gaps in the brows. I like to start by brushing against the hair so the color of the brow gel is evenly distributed, then brush with the hair until everything is in place. The tails of my brows are not as full as the heads so I do a light, straight swipe to fill it in with the brush tip. Et viola, done!
