The myth that red lipstick should only be pulled out of your arsenal during special occasions and evenings out has long been dead.
Red lipstick, a color so bold and vibrant, is for anyone who wants to bring their A-game, and look sophisticated and posh. A classic look and a great statement to make, it’s the best thing you can do for when the rest of your face is muted and lightly done.
For days when I feel like livening up my look and feeling like I own the place, L.A. Colors has got me covered. Their vibrant red lipstick in Rogue comes in a lipstick tube with a clear plastic cover. An avid fan of elaborate and luxe-looking lipstick tubes, I was surprised to find a liking to this very simple – almost naked – lipstick tube packaging. The tip of the lipstick is curved, allowing sharp lines and precise application for girls who love a defined lip without the luxury of having a cotton swab or concealer at hand.
As for the color, it’s more of a fair red tone, with a touch of coral to it. It glides on like butter, and has a sheer finish, and although this isn’t the lipstick to reach for if you’re looking for something that’s extra-long lasting with kiss-proof capabilities, it holds up pretty decently. For a fair toned – but still very vibrant – red shade with a fresh and sheer finish, Rogue by L.A. Girl will not disappoint.
