Real Bride: Ghia Vicente-Giron

What’s the inspiration behind your wedding look? Did you have any hair and makeup pegs?

I wanted a dewy, glowing look. Pinterest was my go-to app for all wedding-related pegs!

Who designed your wedding gown, and how did you come up with the style? How long did it take to create or find the perfect wedding dress?

Rosenthal Tee designed my gown and it took her around six months to finish everything. I actually went to two other designers before I met Chantal. It’s perfect since her design aesthetic was same as mine—romantic with a little bit of edge!

How did you choose your hair and makeup artist?

Anjie Gogna, my makeup artist brought her own hair stylist with her. Anjie was referred by a good friend of mine.

What lip color did you choose for the wedding day?

Nude! I wanted my eyes to be the focal point of my face.

What was in your wedding day makeup kit/pouch?

Perfume and candy.

What were the preparations you did for your skin prior to the wedding day? Did you go to a skincare center regularly? What kind of services did you have done? Is this something you would recommend to other brides-to-be?

Three months before my wedding, I went to this skin clinic in West Triangle called IAAS or International Academy for Aesthetic Sciences to schedule my bi-monthly facials, as well as three different IV DRIPS (Myers Cocktail, Glutathione, and Collagen). I wanted to make sure that I had that “bridal glow” since it doesn’t really happen without any effort! I highly suggest for all the brides-to-be to do the same as all the planning and stress can really take a toll on your skin.

What was the best beauty advice you received that helped you prepare for your wedding?

Schedule your facials regularly and don’t forget to exercise.

How about in terms of fitness? What did you do months before the wedding to stay in shape and make sure your wedding dress fit perfectly? Did you enroll in a gym or fitness center? What was your diet like?

I wasn’t really as conscious with what I ate because a few months before the wedding, I started attending HIIT in Elorde Katipunan for around two to three times a week.

Did you have your nails done? If so, where? Would you recommend this nail salon to others?

I had my nails done in I DO Nails in Eastwood. Their service is terrific!

What was your biggest takeaway from your wedding day? Do you have any beauty-related tips you’d like to share to upcoming brides?

Biggest takeaway would be to savour every single second of your wedding because the day will just go by so fast! And don’t forget to eat! You wouldn’t be able to last until the end of your wedding night if you skip any meal, trust me.

“Savour every single second of your wedding because the day will just go by so fast!”
