Product Review: Eve Pearl Flawless Face Palette

By: Xeng Zulueta

Hailed as the holy grail of all face palettes, so I was determined to seek the truth! First off, this palette isn’t cheap so I’m going to break it down to you so you know exactly what you are getting.

OVERALL CLAIM TO FAME:
1. Portability. All you need in one palette plus a big mirror and sleek compact packaging. They don’t scrimp on each pot also so you have exactly just what you need. Great also for make up artists who are always on the go. (Collect all shades to complete a variety of skin tones).
2. Texture and feel. From cream consistency, it sets on the skin like matte powder. This is great for those with combination to dry skin. You can forego the loose powder if your skin has a tendency to be dry. For those with oilier skin, just make sure to manage the T-zone. Nothing an oil-blotter or powder can’t fix!
3. Safe ingredients. Paraben-free, water-free, fragrance-free, sensitive skin-friendly, infused with coconut oil and Vitamin E. Wait, there’s more! Covers imperfections and flaws with long-lasting finish that’s light to the touch and feel.
4. Five products for the price of one. The price tag doesn’t seem so bad when I tell you that it comes with 2 HD foundation shades, 2 salmon concealer shades, 1 HD cream blush, 1 mattifier/eye primer and 1 illuminator! Ka-ching! Ka-ching! Ka-ching!
5. Universally flattering. Take note, this is the light palette. There are other palettes for specific skin tones so better make sure you know what group you belong to. Not only is this palette flattering, it is also “buildable” – – meaning you can achieve the no-make up look or barely-there make up or make it cover more flaws by making it higher coverage.
Pro tip: best applied with all or any of the following:
1. A beauty blender sponge. Just make sure not to mix your sponges or better yet, label the container where you keep your sponges.
2. A foundation brush, concealer brush, another brush for illuminator and another one for blush. They key here is to NOT use one brush for all. You already invested in the palette, so please, invest in individual brushes and label them accordingly. Doing so makes your flawless face routine snappy and most of all: professional. With lots of practice it will look like you had your make up done with a professional make up artist!
3. To make it even more long-wearing for special occasions: set with any HD powder or make up setting spray for day time or action-packed days. Skip the above for dewy skin or cooler months/weather.
My verdict: I want to collect all the palettes now. I need to have them all in my kit! Two thumbs up for me!
